Who is Elena Kaliská?

Elena Kaliská is a Slovak slalom canoer who has competed since the late 1980s. Competing in four Summer Olympics, she won two gold medals in the K-1 event, earning them in 2004 and 2008.

Kaliská also won four medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with two golds and two silvers.

She has won the overall World Cup title 6 times, which is a record among women.

At the European Championships she has won a total of 15 medals.
