Who is Elsie Ritchie?
Elsie Ritchie is an American actress with a brief career in the 1970s who was the sister of American film director, Michael Ritchie. She played roles in her brother's films in The Candidate in 1972 and in 1975's Smile.
Elsie recently retired as a high school English teacher at Aragon High School in California. Her career spans 22 years and includes many years as a drama teacher. Elsie's father Benbow Ritchie was a professor at UC Berkeley during Elsie's childhood. Benbow's favorite hobby was to direct theater productions in local Berkeley Community Theater groups. Brother Jack Ritchie shared being cast in small role's in Michael Ritchie's films.
