Who is Emmanuel Ray?

Emmanuel Ray is a London based Fashion Commentator and Socialite. A former Model and Dancer, he also raises funds for charity, hosts business networking events in the city and plays host a variety of functions including art exhibitions, classical concerts, fashion shows and so on. Sri Lankan born, probably mixed race in ancestry. Quite a complex character with a rather intriguing if not disturbing past.. but nevertheless entertaining, funny, flamboyant and very engaging. Emmanuel Ray is rumoured to have been diagnosed with bi polar disorder but denies it.

Emmanuel Ray's story and how he went from the slums of war torn Sri Lanka to the salons of Mayfair - is being put together in a documentary/factual film by British Indian film director Nirpal Bhogal. Emmanuel Ray's work with BAFTA award winning TV Producer & Celebrity Booker Simon Wilson saw his career progress rapidly within a year. Despite his continuing success, Emmanuel suffers from severe depression and anxiety but claims he never lets that affect his work. He was hospitalised in early summer '10 for stress related issues and is said to have been caught having sex with his doctor! Both men were issued a warning but Emmanuel Ray was seen visiting the nurses quarters with a Chinese girl, in the late hours of night. He left hospital a few days later.

Tantrums: Slapped an Indian journalist for calling him a manwhore - Fired his make up artist for mixing a foundation that was lighter than his skin tone - terminated his partnership with Yolanta Hair & Beauty salon, Mayfair after just 2 months - grabbed a policeman by the shirt and yelled at him at a random stop and search. The policeman later claimed that Emmanuel Ray looked drunk or stoned and wanted to check his bags for drugs. Emmanuel claimed that the policeman picked on him on purpose and was heard calling the Policeman a "whore in uniform" and a "short fat bitch boy." Emmanuel Ray later apologised to the officer.
