Ena also deputised for Reginald Dixon as organist at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool when he was away doing military service during World War II. I was at that time the local, well known, 'Boy Pianist' [I was 10 when the war ended] and Ena gave me many solo spots on her programme. She was very charming and attractive.
