Who was Eraldo Monzeglio?
Eraldo Monzeglio was an Italian football defender.
Monzeglio was born in Vignale Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria.
In his nineteen-year career, which lasted from 1924 to 1943, he played for Casale, Bologna and Roma. For the Italian national team he won two World Cup finals, in 1934 and 1938.
Monzeglio later became a coach, managing from 1941 to 1973 the teams of A.S. Roma, Pro Sesto, Napoli, Sampdoria, Juventus, Lecco and Chiasso, in Switzerland. He died at 75 years old.
