Who was Åke Lassas?
Åke Erik Lassas was a Swedish ice hockey player who represented his country at the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, winning the bronze medal in the team competition. He was born on August 21, 1924 in Leksand and died on April 16, 2009. He played club hockey for Leksands IF, winning the inaugural Guldpucken award in 1956 given to the best player in the Swedish league.
