Who is Farwah bint al-Qasim?
Farwah bint al-Qasim or Umm Farwah Fatimah was the mother of Ja'far al-Sadiq, the sixth Shi'a Imam. Her father was Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr. Her grandfather was Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr. She also had another son called Abdullah son of Muhammad al-Baqir.
She is a notable woman for her knowledge in Islamic history. She is among the Imamiyyat narrators of the hadith and narrated on the authority of Imam Zayn al-Abidin.
