Who is Fathali Moghaddam?

Fathali M. Moghaddam is an Iranian psychologist, professor of psychology at Georgetown University and director of Conflict Resolution Program, Department of Government, Georgetown University. His current research interests are in the psychology of justice and conflict, including terrorism and war. He is an Iranian-born, British-educated cultural psychologist who came to Georgetown in 1990 via work at the United Nations and McGill University in Canada.

Moghaddam is an internationally recognized expert on psychology and culture whose scholarship has included works on global conflict resolution, terrorism, and the psychology of rights and duties. He has extensive research and consulting experience in the areas of culture and behavior with a specific focus on inter-group conflict, collective aggression, terrorism, dictatorship, perceived injustice and health and culture.
