Who was Filarete?
Antonio di Pietro Averlino, also "Averulino", known as Filarete, was a Florentine Renaissance architect, sculptor and architectural theorist. He is perhaps best remembered for his design of the ideal city of Sforzinda, the first ideal city plan of the Renaissance.
