Who is Filippo Galli?

Filippo Galli is a former Italian football player with A.C. Milan who played as a right back and sweeper but was often called on to fill in at any defensive position. He was a member of the AC Milan first squad coaching staff, as a technical assistant of former manager Leonardo Araújo.

He played for AC Milan from 1983 to November 1996, when he was sold to Reggiana, another Serie A team. After two seasons with Reggiana, he moved to Brescia and successively, at the age of 38, spent a season at Watford whilst Gianluca Vialli was manager, scoring once against Walsall. He retired in 2004, aged 41, after two seasons with minor Serie C club Pro Sesto. Currently he is the responsible of the A.C. Milan youth system.
