Who was Frank Carideo?

Francis F. "Frank" Carideo was an American football player and coach of football and basketball. He played quarterback at the University of Notre Dame from 1928 to 1930, where he was a two-time All-American. Carideo served as the head football coach at the University of Missouri from 1932 to 1934, compiling a record of 2โ€“23โ€“2. He was also the head basketball coach at Mississippi State University from 1935 to 1939, tallying a mark of 43โ€“39. Carideo was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a player in 1954.
