Who was Franz Anton Ledermann?

Anne called him "Uncle Franz," though they were not related. There were several connections between their families (see his wife and daughters). He was a German lawyer who emigrated with his family to Holland and learned Dutch law, passing the bar in about 1936. Meanwhile, he and Mr. Goslar worked together helping fellow immigrants deal with finances, real estate, and legal matters. He was a fine violinist and violist, and played in the neighborhood concerts with his wife and others. Along with his wife and one daughter, Sanne, he was deported on 20 June 1943, and gassed immediately after their arrival at Auschwitz.
