Who is G. R. Parvin?
George Roland Parvin was a director of IPC Business Press Ltd, at the end of his career. He was also made an MBE and appeared in the Queen's Birthday Honour list of June 1982.
He served honorably during the Second World War in the Pacific theater. Eventually he was captured and made a POW by the Japanese Army. His war experiences were later published in a book that he personally authored called "Yasumai!". He told many of his war stories in the War Picture Library Illustrated Series published during the late '50s and early 60's
