Who is Galen Rupp?

Galen Rupp is an American long-distance runner and Olympic silver medalist. Rupp competed for the University of Oregon and currently trains under Alberto Salazar as a member of the Nike Oregon Project. He was a member of the 2008 and 2012 United States Olympic team and won the silver medal in the 10,000 m at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Rupp is the current American record-holder at 10,000 m with a time of 26:48.00, and at the indoor 3000 m, 2 mile and 5000m with times of 7:30.16, 8:07.41 and 13:01.26, respectively.
