Who is Gaston Arizaga?

Gaston Filipe Arizaga is an Argentine cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and leg-break bowler who has played for Argentina since the 1996/97 season.

He debuted for the Argentine team during the 1996/97 ICC Trophy, making his first appearance for the team against West Africa in a five-wicket loss. Argentina finished in 20th place in the competition, and returned for the following tournament in 2001. In 2001 Arizaga helped Argentina make second place in the qualifying table, though they played no more in the competition.

Arizaga played in the 2004 Americas Championship and in the inaugural 2006 season of the World Cricket League, where Argentina played in Division Two of the Americas Region in April. Argentina finished the Americas tournament in first place, Arizaga playing in each of Argentina's four victories as they finished undefeated and in first position in the table, securing promotion into Division One for the following competition in August 2006.

However, Argentina finished bottom of the Division One table in the August 2006 competition, in which Arizaga played in three out of the four matches played by the Argentine team.
