Who is Gerry Mullan?
Gerry Mullan is a former Glentoran, Ballymena United, Everton and Coleraine footballer. He hails from Limavady. When Ronnie McFall signed Mullan for Glentoran in 1981 from Everton, he became the most expensive Irish League player, at £30,000. The striker scored 110 goals for Glentoran, and gained 4 caps for Northern Ireland. His brother, Lawrence Mullan also played for Glentoran. His nephews Stephen and Philip Lowry play for Coleraine F.C. and Linfield F.C. respectively.
Gerry was also an accomplished midfielder in Gaelic Football, representing O'Connor's Glack, St. Aidan's Magilligan and his local team Limavady Wolfhounds.
