Gustav Victor Rudolf Born is Emeritus Professor of Pharmacology at King's College London and Research Professor at the William Harvey Research Institute, St. Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College. Born was born in Germany, the son of Hedwig Ehrenberg and scientist Max Born. He was educated at the Oberrealschule, Göttingen. After fleeing to Great Britain with his father, he attended The Perse School, Cambridge, Edinburgh Academy and the University of Edinburgh.
