Who is Hamad Al-Azani?

Hamad Khalifa Hamed Al-Azani is assistant coach of the Oman national football team. Before he coached and led Al Nahda to the final 8 of the AFC Cup. After the sudden firing of Coach Julio César Ribas due to Oman's performance for World Cup qualification, Hamad Al-Azani was shortly given the position as a transitional coach. He led Oman to an undefeated streak the few months he led the team. In July the Oman Football Association hired Frenchman Claude Le Roy, and Al-Azani was offered a position as assistant coach. On March 4, 2012 Hamad Al Azzani has been shown the door and the country’s London Olympic hopes is now in the hands of national coach Paul Le Guen.
