Who was Hamilton P. Bee?
Hamilton Prioleau Bee was an American politician in early Texas who served one term as Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives. He later served as a Confederate States Army general during the American Civil War. In 1869 he and his family left Texas, living for several years in Saltillo, Mexico before their return to San Antonio in 1874.
