Who is Hank Stickney?

Hank Stickney is the CEO of Mandalay Baseball, owner of Dillstar Productions, Operating Partner of Mandalay Sports Entertainment, and owner of Valley Baseball. Mandalay Baseball manages multiple minor league baseball teams in the U.S., most notably the Dayton Dragons. Stickney also is the majority owner of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes baseball team, which is outside the portfolio of Mandalay Sports Entertainment. Dillstar Productions produces dinner shows like Joey and Marias Italian Wedding and Sopranos Last Supper. Stickney retired from the Air Force with the rank of Colonel. After retiring he was Assistant Hospital Administrator for San Bernardino County, California. He then moved on to found Western Medical Specialties which was a leader in home health care; Caremark Inc. later purchased the company. He then founded Reimbursement Dynamics Inc. which also was a success. Reimbursement Dynamics specialized in reimbursement strategies for newly approved drugs and medical devices entering the marketplace. He was always a huge sports buff and ended up investing in baseball. In 2006 Fortune Magazine did an article on Hank which featured ways to invest in minor league sports and how profitable they can be. His entrepreneurship also earned him the Ernst and Young 2001 entrepreneur of the year award, Baseball America Outstanding Class 'A' Franchise of 1997, and the Thiel College, Haller Enterprise Institute Entrepreneur of the year in 2001. Hank currently resides in Rancho Cucamonga, California with his wife Beverly, a family therapist.
