Who was Hjalmar Frisk?
Hjalmar Frisk was a Swedish linguist in Indo-European studies and rector of Göteborg University 1951–1966.
His most noted work was the three-volume "Griechisches etymologisches Wörterbuch" written in years 1954–1972 and published in Heidelberg.
In 1968, he became a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
