Who is Hugo Angel?

PROFESIONAL:I'm Hugo Angel a Colombian Electronics Engineer from the old school that still enjoys hacking both hardware and software. Jointly with the late and remembered Alejandro Henao, Fernando Vallejo, Silvio Gnecco, we worked hard for 18 months during our spare time back in 1983, to design, build functional prototypes, write firmware and Multiplan(Spreadsheet) application software for a Poll/Select networked Industrial Control System that would become the Sekky System, root for the Electronics Division of Carvajal S.A. Those were really funny and hectic days.

Later I became mostly involved with XML/XSL (Cocoon), Rich Media (Flash) and Ajax hacking

Today I'm embarked in a venture, "Nomad Mind", that pursues developing projects blending Culture. Science and Technology. The first result of this is the "Smart Green Architecture" SGA (Arquitectura Verde Interactiva) project has been started. SGA is the result of the alliance of "Nomad Mind" with the research teams/labs on Energy, Materials, Environment and Architecture from UPB university. Due to its interdisciplinary focus, with a strong emphasis in Culture (people and aesthetics), Science and Engineering, SGA has been selected for the 2009 Colombian Regional Arts Salon.

"Nomad Mind" has another project "Laboratorio de Pensamiento" (Thinking lab)

I dream on creating the SemantiCol or Semantic Colombia, that consolidates and publish in a globally useful information on My Country and can be a pilot project for SemantiCountry, with the same aims for every country in the world
