Who is Ian Sturrock?
Ian Sturrock is a noted rescuer and restorer of orchards and apple trees, and has saved a number of apple species from the brink of extinction. He is notable for having discovered the last remaining Bardsey apple, and for rescuing the Diamond apple.
Sturrock owns a nursery near Bangor, Gwynedd comprising over 4000 fruit trees, mostly rescued by grafting cuttings on to rootstock.
