Who was Ibn Shuayb?

Ibn Shuayb or Abu l-`Abbas Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Shuayb al-Kirjani was a Moroccan scholar in medicine, alchemy, botany, astronomy, mathematics, a renowned poet and chancellor of the Marinid sultan Abu al Hassan. He is the author of both prose and poetry.
