Iskander Galiev

Who is Iskander Galiev?

Iskander Galiev is a Russian businessman and former military serviceman of the Russian Airborne Troops.

From 1987 to 1989 he serviced with the 345th Independent Guards Airborne Regiment of the Soviet Combined Forces in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. He was awarded for his participation.

He graduated from the Modern Business Institute in Moscow. In 2009 he finished his postgraduate studies in the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

Since 2005 he has been Deputy General Director of Vnukovo International Airport, member of the board of directors of JSC Refueling Complex and JSC Vnukovo-Invest. He is Vice-president of the interregional non-governmental organization Union of Afghan War Veterans, member of the Russian Union of Afghan War Veterans, and Executive Board member of the Russian national non-governmental veterans organization Battle Brotherhood.
