Who was Israel Horowitz?

Israel Horowitz was a passenger onboard American Airlines Flight 383. He survived the crash on November 8, 1965. He was able to crawl away from the aircraft before blacking out. He was brought down from the hillside and transferred to Booth Memorial Hospital in Covington, Ky. Mr. Horowitz went back to his music and retired in the late 1980's. He passed away on December 26, 2008.
