Who is J. K. Simmons?

Jonathan Kimble "J. K." Simmons is an American actor. He is best known for his roles on television as Dr. Emil Skoda in NBC's Law & Order, neo-Nazi Vernon Schillinger in the HBO prison drama Oz, and as Assistant Police Chief Will Pope on TNT's The Closer; on film as J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, and for voice-over work in animation and video games. He also appears in a commercial for Farmers Insurance. Simmons won an Academy award for Best Supporting Actor for the 2014 film Whiplash.
