Who is Jamie Campbell?

Jamie Campbell is an East Anglian author and journalist. Jamie lives in Gorleston and is only concerned with old local yachts and commercial sailing craft - with particular reference to the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads - inland UK waters. He has several published works to his credit including Hamilton's Broads Navigations, a biography of George Christopher Davies, and a History of Norfolk Punts.

Campbell is a keen yachtsman, racing to an international level for 25 years mainly in the 505 and Dragon classes with occasional sallies three decades ago in Flying Dutchmen. Veteran of a number of shorthanded longhaul races, he is currently involved with Excelsior, a restored Lowestoft sailing smack and sails the 35-foot classic Broads sailing boat Evening Flight.

Recent publications include A history of The Royal Norfolk & Suffolk Yacht Club.
