Who is Jay Beagle?

A 60, 201-pound native of Calgary, Alberta, Beagle played two seasons of college hockey at Alaska Anchorage before beginning his professional career with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. A non-drafted player, Beagle was invited to the Washington Capitals' training camp in 2007, and was assigned to their American Hockey League associate Hershey Bears. On March 28, 2008, Beagle was signed to a two year contract with the Washington Capitals.
