Who is Jay Short?
Jay Short was CEO, President and Head of Research of Diversa until his departure in 2005.
While at Diversa, Short invented methods of protein and pathway discovery via metagenomics, in addition to key evolution technologies, Gene Site Saturation MutagenesisTM and GeneReassemblyTM methods, and was the first to combine these discovery and evolution technologies. He has recently founded the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation. The Foundation is focused on linking business to life for conservation.
