Who is Jeff Bonwick?
Jeff Bonwick is a Software Engineer, most notable for leading the team that developed the ZFS file system. He was a Sun Fellow and later a Vice President at Sun Microsystems and then a Senior Software Architect at Oracle until his departure from the company on 30 September 2010. In 2010 he founded DSSD together with Bill Moore.
Bonwick's other work includes the slab allocator, an object-caching kernel memory allocator, and the LZJB compression algorithm.
Bonwick published a blog which details the development of ZFS.
