Who is Jen Chapin?

Jen Chapin is an American singer-songwriter. She is the daughter of singer-songwriter Harry Chapin and his wife, Sandra Chapin. She serves on the Board of Directors of WhyHunger, a grassroots support organization founded by Harry Chapin and current Executive Director Bill Ayres. She has been compared at times with Laura Nyro, Tori Amos, and Alanis Morissette. Chapin's own website describes her music as "jazz tinged urban folk soul...incorporating the funk, soul and improvisation of the city".

She studied at Brown University and the Berklee College of Music.

When Chapin tours, she often plays with her husband, bassist Stephen Crump, as well as guitarist Jamie Fox, a group usually billed as the "Jen Chapin Trio".

She has appeared on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and has worked with Bruce Springsteen.

Chapin lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and bassist Stephan Crump and their sons Maceo and Van.
