Who is Jillian Smith?
Jillian Clare Morgan formerly Jillian Smith is a retired field hockey player from New Zealand, who was a member of the national team that finished sixth at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California.
After a long and colourful history with Hawkes Bay and New Zealand age-group hockey both in player and coaching roles, a decision was made to move into the golfing arena. True to form, Jill took to the sport like a duck to water, wading her way up both provincial an national rankings. In only her third year of golfing, Morgan became the New Zealand Masters Champion, making her the envy of all in the sport-a truly impressive achievement. Now a member of the Waikato Masters team, Morgan's golf continues to improve and her amazing natural timing and ability makes her a real shining light for the future of the sport in the region. She was born in Taumarunui, New Zealand.
