Who is Joe McFarland?
Joe McFarland is the president of the Western Division of The Home Depot. He joined the Company in 1993 and is currently responsible for leading the sales and operations of more than 440 stores staffed by 78,800 associates throughout 13 Western states. His division covers Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Previously, Joe served as a regional vice president for three years in the Companys NY Metro Region. In that capacity, he directed the operations of 94 stores across northern New Jersey, New York Citys five boroughs, Long Island and Connecticut. Prior to that position, he was the regional vice president of the NJ Metro Region for two years. Joe is a 14-year veteran with The Home Depot. He began his career with the Company as an electrical sales associate in southern California. He has held various store positions, including department supervisor; assistant store manager; store manager in Orange County and Los Angeles; and district manager in Los Angeles, Hawaii and Atlanta. Before joining The Home Depot, Joe served his country for six years. The former United States Marine is a Gulf War veteran.
