Who was John J. Wafering?
J.J. Wafering was a passenger onboard American Airlines flight 383. He was killed in the crash on November 8,1965 while returning home from a business trip to New York. His son, John {Jr.}, was waiting for him at gate 7 at the Greater Cincinnati Airport. The elder John was arriving back in Cincinnati following a visit to his ill mother in Newark, New Jersey.
