Simpson studied architecture at University College London. He is Principal of John Simpson Architects LLP, Chartered Architects and Urban Designers, London. He is a member of Royal Institute of British Architects.
Simpson is well known for being one of the few modern-day architects designing in the classical style, also known as New Classical Architecture.
