Who is José Luis Rodríguez Pittí?
José Luis Rodríguez Pittí is a contemporary writer, videoartist and documentary photographer. He was born in Panamá.
He is the author of short stories, poems and essays and published the books "Panamá Blues", "miniTEXTOS", "Sueños urbanos", "Crónica de invisibles" and "Sueños". Most of his stories and essays were published in literary magazines and newspapers. Some of his stories were selected to be part of the anthologies "Hasta el sol de mañana", "Panamá cuenta", "La minificción en Panamá", "Sueño compartido" and "Cuento que te quiero cuento".
In 1994, the Universidad de Panamá awarded him with the Premio "Darío Herrera" for his book "Sueños". Other literary honors received are Accesit in the Premio Nacional "Signos" 1993, Concurso Nacional de Cuentos "José María Sánchez" 1998, Concurso "Amadís de Gaula" 1999 and the Concurso "Maga" de Cuento Corto 2001.
