Who was Juice WRLD?
Jarad Anthony Higgins (December 2, 1998 – December 8, 2019), known professionally as Juice WRLD, was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is considered to be a leading figure in the emo-rap and SoundCloud rap genres which garnered mainstream attention during the mid-late 2010s, especially from the hit 2018 single, "Lucid Dreams". His stage name was derived from the film Juice (1992) and he stated it represents "taking over the world". Juice WRLD died from a drug overdose on December 8, 2019 at Midway International Airport, in Oak Lawn Illinois. Juice WRLD was a leading figure in the emo-rap and rap community as a whole, and is one of the most influential artists of the late 2010s and the 21st century.
