Who is Julie O. Swan?

Julie Swan Vice President, Finance, Specialty Businesses for SYSCO Corporation, has spent her entire professional career in the foodservice industry and has experience working in all areas of distribution. She began her SYSCO career in 1978 as credit manager at the company's Miami, FL operation. In 1980 she transferred to SYSCO's Central Florida unit as national account manager and later was promoted to general manager of administrative services in 1982, assistant controller in 1986, and controller in 1990. While still at Central Florida, she was promoted to vice president of finance in 1993 and again promoted to chief financial officer the following year. In 1995, she transferred to the West Coast Florida operation in the same role and was promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer of that unit in 1999. In 2001, she transferred to the South Florida operating company where she was promoted to executive vice president. She joined the Strategy team at the corporate office in 2006. Ms. Swan is a native of Oak Park, Ill. In 1973 she received her bachelor of science degree from Georgetown University, located in Washington, D.C., and in 1984 she earned a master of business administration degree from Nova University, located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
