Dr. K-Moses Nagbe came to prominence in the early 1980s for his stimulating articles which often appeared in the Liberian national dailies, especially the Liberian Daily Observer. His articles discussed the dangers of political arrogance and indifference; the use of religion, not as a source of hard work and productivity, but as a source of idleness, daydreaming and begging; the politicizing of higher education; and the frightening and growing economic gaps in Liberia at the time. And then, what would turn out as a nearly 20-year civil war erupted in the country by December 1989. Dr. Nagbe and his family suddenly began a checkered run for life, both inside and outside of Liberia.

Dr. Nagbe has multi-disciplinary training, including a BA in English and Accounting, an MA in English and Communications, an LLB in Law, a PhD in Education. He is a published author. Among his works are the following: [1] Nuggests of the African Novel (With Notes on the Liberian Literary Heritage); [2] One Saturday in August; [3] Sun at Midnight; [4] A Scream in the Storm; [5] Between the Scissors (Growing up as an Afrestern Liberian); [6] Face-to-Face with Our National Songs; and [7] Your Compatriot, My Compatriot (Surveying the Forces and Voices That Inspired the Union of tLiberian Associations in the Americas).
