Who is K. R. Udayakumar?

K. R. Udayakumar popularly called KRA a prominent politician was born to Thiru. K. Ramakrishnan, an agriculturalist and veteran Congress worker. He was born on 25 May 1962 at Karaikal, a port town and one of the exclaves of Puducherry. He married Indira Devi on 20 March 1989 and has two children.

The family members were associated with Indian National Congress in various levels under the leadership of Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi. Groomed by a family deeply involved in Congress party and seeing the dynamic leadership and vision of Rajiv Gandhi, joined Indian National Congress at the young age of twenty-five and become a full-fledged party worker of Congress.

Well known among the people of the area for generous attitude towards the poor and down trodden. Active in various segment of socio-political life, on the issues and problem of Neravy - Grand' Aldee assembly constituency.

He believes the politics is the development and enhancement of public life, a common life that we can all share as responsible citizens. He is not into this profession for business but for one goal "Do the best you can to the deprived, the world will turn around you".
