Who was Kaleem Shah?

Kaleem Shah was a popular Pashto film actor. He was born to a religious family called Kaka khel at Ziarat e Kaka Saheb, Nowshera District, in north west Pakistan.

He started his acting career in late 70's with small roles, in different films of Urdu, Punjabi and Pashto, for which he got appreciated by common masses as well noticed by major directors of the time, and soon he become the top actor of the time among the Pollywood superstars Asif Khan and Badar Munir.

His journey from the low roles, commonly known as an extra, to the main roles in the films took no longer because of his acting capabilities, and soon he became a renowned actor.

He did variety of roles in more than a hundred movies, most of which were Pashto films. He was much renowned for his work in negative or villainous characters, he was much popular for his negative roles, even though he played character roles as well, but his voice with a big base and expressions of his face, made him perfectly for negative roles.
