Who is Kamui Kobayashi?

Kamui Kobayashi is a Japanese racing driver currently driving in Formula One for Caterham. He has previously competed in the GP2 Series, the GP2 Asia Series, the FIA World Endurance Championship and Formula One from 2009 to 2012.

He was named after Kamuy, a divine being in Ainu mythology, and the letter of the name imitated the sound citing three Kanji from the sentence "Enabling great dream".

In April 2013, he was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Sport award at The Asian Awards in London.
