Who is Kate Nesbitt?
Kate Louise Nesbitt MC, born 21 April 1988 is the first female member of the British Royal Navy, and the second woman in the British Armed Forces, to be awarded the Military Cross. Nesbitt, a Navy medic from Plymouth, was awarded the MC for actions in Afghanistan during March 2009.
