Who is Kenneth R. Jenkins?
Kenneth Reginald Jenkins was born 1 June 1961 in Augusta, GA. His parents moved to Chicago, IL. and that's when Jenkins
discovered that he could write at a young age.
He had his first poem published by The Westside Weekly on December, 1976 at the age of 16 years-old. It's the Christmas poem, "The Night Christ Was Born".
He later was writing for the Savannah Herald Newspaper, Creative Loafing (Savannah, GA) and other local publications.
His influences are, Dr. Seuss, Gwendolyn Brooks, Nikki Giovanni, Walt Whitman, Robert Frost and numerous others.
He is now author four self published books of poetry and a podcast host/producer, happily married to his wife Vanessa, and a licensed minister who at one time enjoyed writing song lyrics for a while.
He is currently working on his fourth self published book coming out soon and working on his first novel.
