Kevin Gilyard, better known by his stage name Kevin Gates, is an American rapper and singer born in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana right after where he was raised. On February 15, 2013, it was announced that Gates signed to Atlantic Records.
