Who was Khademul Bashar?
Air Vice-Marshal M Khademul Bashar was Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force during 1976. He also held the office of Deputy Chief Martial Law Administrator and was in charge of the Ministry of Petroleum, the Ministry of Food and Civil Aviation and the Department of Tourism.
He served as Senior Operations Officer at Dhaka International Airport in Tejgaon Air Base, until March 1971. He was among the principal participants during the crucial structuring of Bangladesh War of Independence from Pakistan at the Bangladesh Sector Commanders Conference 1971 held at the interim Bangladesh Government headquarters. He was appointed Commander Sector 6 Bangladesh Forces by General M.A.G. Osmani.
Bashar was born in Bogra and educated at Satkhira Prananath High School and Rajshahi College.
