Who is Lars Gårding?
Lars Gårding is a Swedish mathematician. He has made notable contributions to the study of partial differential operators. He is a professor emeritus of mathematics at Lund University in Sweden. Together with Marcel Riesz, he was a thesis advisor for Lars Hörmander.
Gårding was elected a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1953.
