Who is LEMON?

Lemon is the alter-ego of music producer, deejay, multi-instrumentalist, record label owner Nick Hollywood.

He was one half of the team responsible for the seminal and hugely successful London night Club Montepulciano, which ran for over 11 years to great critical acclaim and was described by London's Time Out as in 2004 as one of the "things you must do before you can call yourself a real Londoner".

He pioneered the UK Lounge music scene, setting up the label Club Montepulciano Recordings, through which he released a series of influential compilations together with Lemon's debut album, a string of sold-out 7" singles and EPs, and the work of various other Lounge artists.

Tracks from Lemon have since been licensed to numerous compilations worldwide and can be heard in adverts across Europe and the States.

Lemon songs also appear on the soundtracks to several Hollywood movies and trailers including Knocked Up, License To Wed, Nancy Drew and frequently crop up on TV including several tracks in the series Ugly Betty, MTV's The Paper, The Apprentice, Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, X-Factor and many more.

In 2005, Nick Hollywood launched the new label Freshly Squeezed Music. Amongst their first releases was Lemon's second album "With a Twist".
