Who is LeShaun?

Le'Shaun Williams is a female rapper who is known best for creating songs of explicit nature long before it was acceptable to do so. Way ahead of her time she wrote songs that dealt with issues faced by her audience, such as date rape and teen pregnancy but she kept it lite and always added an empowering twist to her lyrics. LeShaun became well known in 1988 for the track Wild Thang as the vocal half of a group called 2 Much. A remixed and re-recorded version of Wild Thang resurfaced again in 1993 on the Ready or Not single. Around this time LeShaun was signed to Tommy Boy Records and managed by Flavor Unit, whose most recognizable face is that of Queen Latifah, appearing on a track on the posse album "Rollin' wit tha Flava" in that same year.
